Maximizing Kitchen Storage

The kitchen, to most, is considered the heart of the home. For those who love to cook or bake, there seems to be an endless list of pots, pans, & utensils that are necessary for various dishes. The problem that frequently arises is that there is a lack of storage space. If you are struggling with storage in your kitchen, here are some tips and ideas that can help!

Map It Out First

Before starting the process of putting your kitchen utensils throughout the kitchen, map out where you think everything should go first. This will make things go more smoothly when you start the process of moving things around. It will also help eliminate having to switch things around when you realize they are not stored in their optimal spaces.

Add Drawers

Most kitchens have drawers incorporated in their design, but if there’s room for more feel free to add more! Especially if you need more space for kitchen utensils.

Layer Storage

If drawer space is limited, you can increase your storage by adding layers. In cabinets, add more shelving or removable racks. This will allow you to access more vertical space.

Attractive Open Storage

Utilize your counter space by incorporating attractive storage containers. Tall and slender containers are great for holding long spoons, spatulas, and other kitchen tools with long handles. Open racks for pretty dinner plates are also a great solution for storing dining ware.
