Finish Winter Strong, Give Your Home a Boost

Spring is right around the corner, but we still have a few weeks of winter to pass through first. Maintaining a curb appeal during the winter months is difficult because of the poor weather. But, regardless of the weather, many people are still looking to buy or list homes. Here are four ways to give your home a boost before winter is over:

Keep the Lawn Free of Debris

Although the yard may not be lush and green, it still requires maintenance to look its best. Rake the yard to remove leaves and other debris that can gather in the yard throughout the season.

Clean Gutters

Periodically clean the gutters to prevent them from overflowing with leaves and debris. This creates a better appearance and keeps the gutters from overflowing and creating more problems in case it freezes.

Lighting Outside

‘Tis the season! Light up your home with holiday lights and spotlights that showcase your home. Use spotlights to create a focal point in the yard or to direct attention to features of your home. Make sure the lighting around the front door is working properly because there are the first impression visitors have of the home’s exterior.

Wash the Windows

Winter windows can get grimy pretty quick. To keep sunlight shining through, clean the outdoor and indoor parts of the windows. This will allow the most light into your home, keeping the interior shining bright with natural light.
