‘Tis the season for holiday decorating! One of our favorite pieces of decor is an evergreen wreath because there are endless ways to accessorize and customize them. Wreaths can be as fun or simplistic as you want. To save time, they can purchased already decorated. For a fun holiday activity, purchase a plain wreath and decorate it yourself. Pinecones, poinsettias, lights, and ribbon are all beautiful ways to accessorize your wreath.
This year, if you decided to purchase a live wreath, keep these maintenance tips in mind to increase its longevity:
If you purchase the wreath before you are ready for it to be displayed, store the wreath in a cool, dark location.
If you are using the wreath outdoors, typically it is not necessary for the wreath to be watered. In warmer climates it might require being spritzed once or twice. Try to hang your wreath in a location that is not in direct sunlight.
If you are using the wreath indoors, it will need to be sprayed periodically to keep the wreath healthy.
